Francesco Ceccato, Barclays CEO of Europe

FBU is delighted to host a Fireside Chat with Francesco Ceccato, CEO of Barclays Europe, on November 26th. 

Francesco Ceccato has been leading Barclays Europe since September 2020, overseeing the bank's operations across the continent from Dublin. His career at Barclays spans over a decade, during which he has held several pivotal roles, including Managing Director and Co-Head of Financial Institutions Group (FIG) for Europe and the Middle East. Before that, he served as Group Head of Corporate Development and Principal Investments, where he was instrumental in shaping Barclays' strategy and executing key transactions. 

Prior to joining Barclays in 2010, Mr. Ceccato held senior positions at J.P. Morgan, Bear Stearns & Co., and GE Capital, where he focused on capital release, risk transfer, and business development in the financial services sector. He also has experience in private equity with UBS Brinson and corporate finance with Lazard. With a career that spans major financial centers including London, New York, and Milan, Mr. Ceccato brings a wealth of experience in both investment banking and corporate leadership.
